As children become more active online, it’s crucial to equip yourself with the tools and knowledge to keep them safe from digital threats. Here are some essential steps to guide you in protecting your child's online safety.
1. Open a web browser and go to family.microsoft.com.
2. Sign in with your Microsoft account (must be the family organizer).
3. If you haven’t set up a family group yet, add your child’s account by clicking Add a family member and sending an invitation to their Microsoft account.
1. On the Family Safety homepage, click on your child’s name.
2. In the left menu, select Screen time.
1. Scroll down to the Devices section and select Windows 10/11 PC.
2. Toggle on Use one schedule for all devices if you want the same limits across all Windows devices your child uses.
3. Click Edit limits.
1. For each day of the week, set the maximum allowed screen time (e.g., 2 hours per day).
2. Click Save.
1. For specific days, click Add a time slot.
2. You can allow screen time only from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and block access outside these hours.
